Founded in 2019, Bridging Borders with Inmates emerged from a profound experience. Founder Adlynn Louidor, while facilitating a workshop on African Canadian history, encountered a former inmate who believed he didn't deserve a second chance. This poignant moment sparked Adlynn's determination to change this narrative for others. Thus, BBI was born, embodying the belief in redemption and new beginnings for those recently incarcerated.
Our vision at BBI is to break the cycle of recidivism and guide individuals towards becoming their best selves. We strive to lead them to a life filled with stability and wellness, transforming not just individual lives but also the community at large.
Bridging Borders with Inmates stands as a beacon of support for those touched by incarceration. Our non-profit organization is dedicated to uplifting individuals who have been incarcerated, at-risk youths with experiences in criminal activities, and their families. We provide advocacy, resettlement services, trauma-informed support groups, and personal development workshops—all free of charge. Our mission is to offer a helping hand and a path to transformation.
These values are the pillars upon which BBI stands, driving our mission and shaping our approach to creating lasting positive impact.
